We carry new and gently used books of all genres, for all ages, as well as upscale and vintage library decor.

Just wanna say thanks to the young mom and daughter (maybe a 3 or 4yo) who popped in yesterday and made our day. I was in the back, banging around (you know, as one does while others are trying to read), when Joe walked through the curtain, beaming.

The mom, a regular of ours, had just told him that she’d taken her daughter to another bookstore over the weekend. (Great!! We love all indies!!) But they weren’t there long, apparently, when the little girl looked around, sat down, and said, “Okay, but I wanna go to the REAL bookstore now.”

EXCUSE ME WHILE I MOP UP MY HEART!😭😭

We have a notebook where we jot down nice things ppl say (for the REAL slow days, when we find ourselves questioning our life choices). While all the comments are special, those from the mouths of babes are the purest (a 4yo isn’t blowing smoke up your a** and buying the book online, KWIM?).

Anyway, thanks to those ladies for brightening our whole weekend, and we hope this makes y’all smile, too. We truly appreciate not just your business, but getting to know you, too, and hope you always consider us the REAL bookstore.🫶

1) First off, a nod to Mrs. Graeter, for not only tipping us off to a recent mention in the Cincinnati Enquirer/USA Today, but for cutting out and hand-delivering the article to our bookstore! 🥹

We had no idea about the name-drop, tbh, but we’re beyond honored, to say the least, especially surrounded by so many outstanding local businesses. (And to be fair, Graeter’s is the GOAT of family-owned shops in these parts, as y’all already know…) 🥰🫶🙏

2) Also gotta shout out my buddy Elizabeth Ross (and her hubby Matt!) at local favorite Hedgerow…

This power couple just dropped a huge haul of handmade tees, tea towels, totes, and more! We seriously can’t keep their merch in stock, so come and get it while you can. 🤩😉

3) Finally, we’d be remiss not to remove our proverbial caps for the incomparable Dolly Parton. 🫡 🫡 🫡

Her love of storytelling and words helped shape the soundtrack of our lives, and it will live on in the millions of kids she inspired to read with her unfettered generosity. Partnering with Dolly’s Imagination Library Ohio has been on our to-do list since before we opened, and honoring that legacy is now a priority.

PS - Mark your calendars for the Cincy Bookstore Crawl - first weekend in October! (It’s what Dolly would want you to do, ok?) We opened too late to make last year’s indie bookstore list, so to say we’re excited is an understatement!!

Just a couple friendly reminders:

☑️ At 2 pm TODAY, come celebrate CHRISTMAS IN JULY with local author Allie Alaniz! Grab a treat and get your copy of her book signed! 🎄🤶 🍪

☑️ The bookstore will be CLOSED THIS MONDAY-THURSDAY (July 27-30) for R&R and F-Cubed (Forced Family Fun™️) before the dreaded school year... We'll REOPEN as usual on FRIDAY (July 31). Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks in advance for understanding. Last year, when the store was still brand-new and we couldn't afford to go dark yet, our daughters stoically and gracefully sacrificed their usual vacay without (much) complaint, so we are extra excited and grateful to restart the memory-making engine. 🙏💕 In the meantime, stop in!

Sorry in advance for any inconvenience, and thanks for understanding that we’re still a literal mom & pop. As much as we need to make money, we feel it’s even more important to make memories with our three daughters while they’re still in the neighborhood. 😘

In the meantime, stop in and see us! And mark your calendars for 2 pm this SATURDAY, JULY 25, when local author Allie Alaniz will host a Christmas in July book signing (with goodies!) of “The Secret of Santa” (which, full disclosure: is not for little kids!)…
