Did you know a business can have up to 500 employees and still count as a small business in the US? Five hundred people. Meanwhile, this is what most of us picture when we hear small business. Everything at this market was made by the person selling it. They packed it, hauled it, set it up this morning, and they’ll break it all down tonight. Same word. Very different thing.

Every table here is one or two people doing all of it.

This is not my favorite part, but I always feel better after.

When orders get busy, things pile up faster than you would think. There is no time to put anything away, so today I am cleaning every station I pour, mix, and pack in.

Meanwhile the printer is making incense holders. That is the best part, you press play and it just goes.

Clean space, clear head, ready for the next batch.
