We are truly saddened to learn of the passing of Jack - a dear friend of the shop, Catrike enthusiast, trike warrior, and all around great guy. Jack left an amazing legacy. He founded, with the help of his mom, Monica, Moving Forward For Ataxia - a non profit focused on raising funds to help others with Spinocerebellar Ataxia continue moving and find freedom and independence lost to the condition. Together they road across the US logging thousands of miles and raising awareness of what can be accomplished despite what a diagnosis takes away.

Monica plans on continuing ride plans for RAGBRAI this coming week. To honor Jack and support his mission, donations can be made to here:

Our hearts are with his family at this time of profound loss. šŸ•Šļø

New mountain biking loops coming to Marietta!

New mountain biking loops coming to Marietta!

Big news for Marietta 🚲🌲

SAMBA is incredibly excited to officially announce the Marietta Woods Trail Project!! A brand new shared-use trail system coming to Furnace Hill Park.

This project has been in the works for a while, and it’s going to create something really special for our community.

The plan includes progressive trail loops for all skill levels along with a Bicycle Playground near Front Street Park featuring rollers, berms, bridges, and other skills features designed to help riders build confidence and have fun.

But honestly, this project is about more than bikes.

It’s about giving kids a place to grow, giving families a reason to spend time outside together, and creating new ways for people to experience the Susquehanna River corridor and the Northwest Lancaster River Trail.

Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks, and we’ll be sharing volunteer opportunities throughout the summer for anyone who wants to help bring this vision to life.

Huge thanks to the Borough of Marietta, local businesses, first responders, Endo Collective, Hush Money Bikes, and everyone else helping make this happen.

Special recognition goes to Marietta resident and cyclist Jake Sitler of Endo Collective, who will serve as Trail Director for the project.

We can’t wait to start building.

We installed a Gride GXT+ power assist + throttle mid drive motor kit on an ICE Adventure this week. Customer had a nice set up with Shimano Steps E6100 and Di2 shifting for an Alfine hub but, due to some physical challenges after an accident, wanted a system with a throttle in case she wasn’t able to pedal home. The Gride system was a nice seamless option and we were even able to keep her Di2 electronic shifting using an external Shimano battery and system display. Our customer enjoyed her test ride (albeit cold 🄶) and left happy.

The Gride GXT+ system is compatible with ICE, Catrike, HP Velotechnik, and AZUB trikes. Learn more at https://gridesolutions.com/
