WINNER! Congratulations to Marcus for winning the grand prize to take home with his all-analog reissue of Funkadelic's Maggot Brain!

For this definitive 2026 reissue, the album was mastered directly from analog tape, preserving the raw power, depth, and atmosphere of the original recordings with extraordinary detail. A longtime holy grail for collectors, Maggot Brain receives the treatment it has long deserved. You can pick up a copy in-shop on "Armageddon Red" vinyl (as well as the 2xLP 45RPM edition), CD, and "Gold" cassette. ✌️

🧠 FUNKADELIC'S MAGGOT BRAIN LISTENING PARTY 🎧

Saturday, September 12th @ 2:00pm

Join us for a listening party celebrating Org Music’s long-awaited all-analog reissue of Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain, out September 11. Be among the first to hear the newly remastered album, pick up a copy (vinyl, CD, or cassette), and enjoy giveaways and prizes.

Released in 1971, Maggot Brain stands as the towering masterpiece in Funkadelic’s groundbreaking catalog. Initially misunderstood upon release, the album is now widely regarded as one of the most influential records of all time. Anchored by Eddie Hazel’s otherworldly guitar performance on the legendary title track and featuring enduring favorites like “Can You Get To That,” Maggot Brain redefined the possibilities of funk, rock, and psychedelic music.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. This year’s theme just so happens to be “music” and I’m grateful for the Marion Public Library reaching out to collaborate on an event.

On Tuesday, September 22nd from 6-7pm at the Jay House (located behind the library), you’re invited to a Literary Listening Party. We’ll spend an hour discussing books & listening to albums paired with them. It’s free and available to everyone. Come sit back and relax as you immerse yourself into art!

If you don’t have a library card yet, you can apply online or in-person. Enjoy the things into which you have already invested.
