Check out this 1992 GT Performer (partial) restoration!
Unfortunately my camera is unable to capture the Day-Glow Orange properly, but JB modified did another excellent job with a fresh powder coating.
Along with finding reproduction decals from the UK, we were also able to save the original bike shop sticker from Champaign, Illinois.
All of the chrome looked nearly new after a quick bath in oxalic acid to remove some surface rust.
The brake calipers were cleaned, then fitted with new pads and cables.
The original wheels were whitened, then wrapped with new GT tires.
The chain, grips, and seat were replaced, while the original pedals were only whitened.
This bike turned out amazing for a $5.00 estate sale item!
