Bookworm Orchard is located in the lower level of the Boston Hill Center, near Los Amores and The Mini Bar (they have the best lemon shakeups), 428 S Washington Street, Marion, Indiana.

We carry books from over 50 local, regional, and national authors. Come check us out Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 10 AM - 6 PM or anytime online!

Welcome back to school! Please share this good news with teachers and budding writing students...

Bookworm Orchard is sponsoring a writing contest for Indiana students in grades 6-12.

Rules and guidelines:

* Parental consent required to participate if under age of 18 at the time of entry.

* Write an original short story of 5,000-10,000 words. No plagiarism or AI allowed.

* Email story to [email protected] no later than October 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST.

* Entries will be reviewed for content, creativity, grammar, and spelling by a panel of local authors.

* Ten entries will be selected for publication in an anthology to be published and available for purchase. Selected writers will receive a book and certificate.

* Writers will retain all rights to their work after anthology publication.

* Bookworm Orchard will assume the cost of cover art, formatting, and printing of the books.

* Bookworm Orchard will hold a book release party for the writers and parents.
