We are nearing the final stages of the business sale; however, there are often little bumps in the road in big transactions like this. It happens. It happened when we bought the business five years ago too, so we're not worried!

Unfortunately, we need to be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23rd, as we continue to finish up. We hope to be up and running as soon as possible. Keep checking our social media

June has been a big month professionally for the Davis family, and continues to be.

June 2021 - We bought THE chocolate SHOP, turned it into The Marion Chocolate Shop, and had our first retail event.

June 2023 - We bought 1060Seventh and spent the next year restoring it.

June 2024- We moved the business into the new building.

June 2026.............We announced a new owner has been found for The Marion Chocolate Shop!!

That's right! The next owners of the Marion Chocolate Shop have been identified and we've started training. We anticipate a full transition to be complete around June 22nd. As we transition operations, the next owners will take time to introduce themselves.

We can't believe we've been the stewards of this business for the last 5 years. We've done so many fun things, met so many wonderful people, and made so many memories. Our family is very excited for the next chapter of our lives, and very excited to see the sixth (!!!) owner's of this business continue to be a staple in Marion.

We don’t always keep EVERYTHING in stock. We strive to keep all our staples, but some of our flavors and novelty just don’t move as fast as others.

We make milk chocolate Tw***ies, but not often. Someone out there must be telling people about them because we’ve had at least 3 people ask about them since we ran out last week.

With the Marion Arts Festival artists starting to set up today parking along 7th Ave is unavailable now through tomorrow evening after the artists pack up and head home.

There is still ample parking today to visit your favorite Uptown Marion District businesses. “Where can I park?” you may ask…check out the City of Marion, Iowa Government Uptown Parking Map, recently updated on their website at https://www.cityofmarion.org/home/showpublisheddocument/31997.

We know there is sometimes frustrations with parking in Uptown…we hear you. I (Ben) am currently on an Uptown Parking Implementation Taskforce actively working with Uptown, Marion Chamber of Commerce, and Marion City staff to address parking concerns and project future parking needs.

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to be out in Uptown. Find parking and enjoy a stroll through the heart of our community!

With Marion Arts Festival this weekend, our windows are adorned with the works of local artists, like many of our neighbor businesses. While you’re in Uptown Marion District for the Arts Fest make sure you browse the local young artists’ work too.

The weather looks like it will be great to be out and about, so make your plans to spend the day in Uptown!

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. What are you planning to hand an important mother in your life?

We have gift boxes prepped with hand rolled truffles, caramel boxes, and assorted chocolate boxes ready to go.

We also have lots of options in the case and MANY varieties of fudge available.
