We’ve got some exciting news at the shop…

My favorite little skincare line from France has arrived!

Some of you may know that I spent 15 years working for a luxury goods company with a luxury skincare line — and there are still a few products I continue to use today.
BUT…
Embryolisse was truly a game changer for me, and I’ve become completely devoted to their daily moisturizer, eye stick, cleanser, lotion, and mask. I used to stock up whenever I traveled to France, so I’m beyond excited that we now have it at the shop!
And I’m pretty sure several of the shop girls are hooked now, too 😉

What’s so great about it?
Honestly… everything.

The Lait-Crème Concentré is my daily moisturizer, but it’s also a professional makeup artist’s dream prep product and makeup base. It’s a skincare favorite of names like Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Lily Collins, Kim Kardashian, and Sydney Sweeney.
(I’ll attach a few articles in case you need more convincing!)

Even better?
It’s not wildly expensive, it smells amazing, and there are formulas specifically made for sensitive skin.

The line also includes a newer editor-favorite: Soin Blush de Peau — what they call “intelligent skincare.” Made with 96% natural ingredients and awarded the Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté by Marie Claire, it’s designed for all skin types.
These daytime moisturizers (available in two shades) target dry skin that’s often exposed to pollution. The texture is a lightweight gel-cream that detoxifies while leaving behind a luminous, golden glow. This is one I am dying to try myself!

There are so many other beautiful products in the line (a few are already on backorder!), and we’re all excited to keep learning more about them. Definitely check it out the next time you’re in the shop.
You know we’d never carry something we didn’t already genuinely love.

I’ve been working a ton on our “other project” (stay tuned!), but my team has been nothing short of incredible: running the shops, unpacking new lovelies (including this line!), and helping all of you find special things for special people.

Today is the Marion Arts Festival!! 🎨✨

Both SCOUT and Uptown Scribe are open from 9–5 today.

This is one of our favorite days in Uptown — the streets are filled with incredible artists, beautiful creations, live energy, and so much inspiration around every corner.

We’re also proud to feature several local artists in the shop, including Kevin & Molly Lurth’s gorgeous handmade bowls (pictured here), crafted from reclaimed derecho wood. Each piece is truly one of a kind.

Mom might truly appreciate a few things that help her unwind, relax, meditate, and recharge.

Mothers will often say they “don’t need or want anything” (I’m just as guilty!)…so instead, consider gifting something they wouldn’t typically buy for themselves: pieces that are beautiful, functional, and made to last—items they’ll use often and think of you each time.
