Today we will be conducting our Point-in-Time (PIT) Count. The PIT Count provides a snapshot of the number of people experiencing homelessness on a single night. This information helps meet federal requirements and provides organizations like Mission Ministries Alliance with accurate, standardized data that is used to plan, fund, and deliver services more effectively. Every count matters because every person matters.

We are also incredibly grateful to have our amazing community partners WNCCHS and M.A.T.C.H. on site providing critical resources, including:
🏥 Medical appointment assistance
🧠 Mental health treatment referrals
📋 Social Security assistance
🏠 Housing resources and connections to community services

Whether you need a meal, a shower, laundry services, resource navigation, or simply someone to listen, we’re here for you.

🏡 Welcome Home, Phyllis!

Today, we're celebrating a new beginning as Phyllis receives the keys to her new home!

Through the support of our Homelessness Prevention Program and Street Outreach team, we were honored to walk alongside Phyllis on her journey to stable housing. We've also had the privilege of supporting multiple generations of her family as they found healing, hope, and a new way of living.

Because of the generous donations from our community to Thrifting With A Purpose, we were able to furnish her new home with a couch, two chairs, a kitchen table, and other essential household items to help her get started.

This is our why. Every donation and every purchase at Thrifting With A Purpose directly supports Mission Ministries Alliance and helps provide housing, hope, and healing for individuals and families in our community.

🚧 We’re Still Open! 🚧

Today, repairs are underway to our building after the vehicle that drove through the store several months ago. We’re grateful to finally be moving forward with these much-needed repairs.

Our store remains OPEN during the work! We appreciate your patience and understanding as these repairs are completed. We expect the work to be finished by the end of the day tomorrow.
