As you browse the rooms of Chocolate Soup, you find carefully chosen vintage items a midst locally handcrafted furniture, gifts and home décor. There are wonderfully scented soaps, lotions and candles. Kitchen gadgets and specialty foods. Children’s books, toys and gifts. Wander in the garden to the “Potting Shed” filled with garden accessories, to the “Cabin” and the “Cottage,” each decorated in

their namesake styles. Chocolate Soup is also home to Mariposa Co. Arts Council's Treetop Gallery. Our annual Christmas Open House is always the first weekend in November. It is an event not to be missed—but anytime is a great time to shop at Chocolate Soup!

It’s 2 weeks until the Mariposa County Fair! Sharon, one of my “Souper” girls, has entered 16 of her water color paintings. I’d like to encourage you to go to the fair and visit the art buildings. If there is one you like, it might be for sale at Chocolate Soup after the fair!

Breakfast passes are open for pre-purchase for all FFA & 4H youth showing animals at the 2026 Mariposa Fair. Plan ahead and save some money with our Showman Special! Daily or Full Weekend passes available. Daily breakfast is $14/day and Full Weekend Passes are $50/weekend (Friday-Monday). Pre-purchase will be available until 8/28/26.
