My sweet husband Ed had a horrific accident on Thursday. He slipped on our back porch and fell through a glass window. He completely severed his brachial artery and all of the muscle in his left arm. All of the tendons and nerves were severed. He underwent a seven hour surgery to bypass the artery and reconnect the nerves and tendons and muscle. He is going to have a very, very long journey of recovery ahead of him. We will keep you posted on how he is doing right now. He is still at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Massachusetts. His spirits are OK. He is in a lot of pain. We're not exactly sure when he's coming home yet.
