One of the great joys of a bookstore is wandering off the bestseller path and getting pleasantly lost.

Our latest island display is packed with “New to You” used books, older favorites, overlooked gems, forgotten classics, and the kinds of books that make you wonder, “How have I not read this yet?”

Browsing used books is a little like treasure hunting. Sure, you might come in looking for one thing, but the real magic happens when a book you weren’t searching for finds you instead.

Go ahead. Dig around. The treasure is usually buried a little deeper.

For his first employee purchase, our new Marketing, Communications, & Events Coordinator Chad McKinney went straight for World War I: The Definitive Visual History and Titanic: First Accounts.

Apparently, when given unlimited access to thousands of books, his first thought was: "Tell me more about global conflict and maritime catastrophe."

Welcome aboard, Chad. We can't wait to see what he picks once he discovers books with happy endings.
