A northern pike, inspired by the Kalevala, Finland’s national epic poem.

In the epic, the great pike becomes the first kantele, turning water and bone into music. This piece is part of Animal Life: Art from the Kalevala during Heikinpäivä at the Copper Country Community Arts Center in Hancock.
