Happy Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer! We’re spending part of the day making treats and getting ready for Bug Days in Minneota this weekend.

Slow mornings are good for the soul. ☕️❤️

Today, we’re taking it easy, enjoying a little extra coffee, and recharging before another busy week. We’ll be at Boxelder Bug Days in Minneota next weekend!

I usually make a menu of all the candies I need to get done for the week, so I’m not just aimlessly making whatever I feel like each day. 😂 Let me know if there’s anything I should add to this week’s menu!

And yes…Rollup Chips, more strawberries, apples, and candy corn are already on the list! 🤪😆

Yes…I may have just about dropped the entire tray while trying to show the camera in this video. I caught it though! Whew!😳

Stressed spelled backward is desserts. Coincidence? I think not. 😂🍬

This back-to-school week has definitely been a stressful one! I can’t wait for things to settle down a little. Until then, candy it is. Thankfully, we’ll have plenty of sweets (including watermelon, strawberries and candy corn) waiting for you at the Farmers Market on Saturday! ❤️🤪😆

Strawberry update: I FINALLY got them! 🍓😂

After forgetting them at Walmart last night, I had to go to both Aldi AND then Walmart today because Aldi was completely out. I was beginning to think these strawberries just weren’t meant to be!

But they’re going in the freeze dryer tonight. We even have some to enjoy with our breakfast-for-supper tonight. Mission accomplished!

Went to Walmart tonight specifically to buy strawberries to freeze-dry so they’d be ready by Saturday. 🍓

After 45 minutes of shopping, I’m sitting in the Walmart parking lot with snacks, bread, pants, and caramel sauce.

Did I remember the strawberries?

No. No, I did not. Stay tuned….we’ll try again tomorrow. I’m too tired to go back in . 🤦‍♀️😂
