Today was one of those amazing days. These people came into Amazing Grace Antiques and purchased two “wind phones.”
What is a wind phone?
Old fashioned, often rotary phones are scattered across the world and visitors are invited to pick up the receiver, dial a number, and speak with the one they miss. There’s a website with locations.
It is a place where grief is welcomed without judgment, where love is spoken freely, and where memories can breathe. Above all, the Wind Phone represents hope: the gentle, enduring hope that love continues, connection remains, and that even death does not truly separate us.
These lovely people who came into the shop today were on a mission to provide one right here in Marshall, Michigan.
The Snoopy phone will be for children who lost a parent. The other for all.
There were tears today all round. Of the love that always beneath any grief.
