Floor To Ceiling Marshall Interior Design Showroom featuring Cabinets, Countertops, Flooring, Window Treatments & More Lowell began working at the store when he was in high school.

Art and Donna Matthys purchased Plywood Minnesota (a franchise headed by Rudy Boschwitz) from Rubin Grimm on August 1, 1971. That building was located adjacent to the current building which was built in 1972 and occupied in 1973. Donna worked part-time doing the books when they bought the business and then went full-time when their children, Lorri and Lowell went to school. During this time Art and his staff sold plywood, in-stock cabinets and limited floor coverings. In 1980, the store name was changed from Plywood Minnesota to Floor to Ceiling. After high school, Lowell attended Alexandria Tech and received a degree in marketing and design. Lowell then returned to work at Floor to Ceiling. He took over ownership of the business in 1986. Donna is currently retired and Art is semi-retired. The business has evolved into more special order carpets and cabinets and gone from soft floors to hard surface flooring. Floor to Ceiling offers interior products for residential and commercial buildings in kitchen and bath, flooring and window treatments. Stop in to look around our showroom!
