When you work with me long enough, sometimes you just start laughing at your boss. 😂 That’s how we roll at Lillie Mae Chocolates.

And in this video, you get a pretty good look at what I mean when I say we SLATHER something in chocolate.

Not drizzle.
Not lightly coat.
SLATHER. Absolute chocolate coverage. 😂🍫

Isabel is working with one of the elements that goes into several of our popcorns: our milk chocolate. And yes, we take the chocolate-to-everything-else ratio VERY seriously around here.

It’s really just a typical day at Lillie Mae. We laugh a lot, make a little bit of a mess, make candy from scratch and hopefully make a whole bunch of people happy along the way.

These s’mores treats are just too good to resist! 😂

Sage cruised by with a Golden Graham and helped herself to a swipe of chocolate right off Nicki’s glove. Around here, we call that a drive-by taste test!

Do we sample the chocolate? You bet we do! Then it’s gloves off, hands washed, and fresh gloves on before getting back to making your treats.

Working in a chocolate shop takes willpower. Some days we have more than others. 😉

We have several seasonal positions available, so whether you love helping customers, making candy, packing orders, or working behind the scenes, there may be a spot for you.

**Candy Store Associate**
Help customers choose the perfect chocolates, popcorn, gifts, and treats while providing warm, friendly service. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys people, stays busy, and loves creating a great customer experience.

**Seasonal Packaging & Fulfillment Team Member**
Help pick, organize, pack, and prepare online and gift orders for shipping and pickup. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with multiple systems, and available for morning shifts.

**Candy Production Assistant**
Work alongside our candy-making team to help prepare, dip, package, and finish our handmade chocolates and confections. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working quickly, following directions, and being part of a production team.

**Candy Associate Lead**
Be a friendly, confident presence on the sales floor while helping customers, packing orders, and keeping our younger team members focused and supported. This role is perfect for someone who leads by example, gives helpful guidance, keeps things moving, and knows that a smile and great customer service matter.

**Popcorn Production Assistant**
Help make, season, package, and prepare our gourmet popcorn during our busy production season. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active and working as part of a team.

A caramel apple is all about balance.

Every year when caramel apple season rolls around, we have the SAME discussion in the shop:

What makes the perfect caramel apple?

You might think the sweeter the apple, the better. I mean… sweet apple + homemade caramel = more delicious, right?

Actually, nope.

A really sweet apple dipped in sweet, buttery caramel can just fall flat. There’s nothing there to balance it.

That’s why we love Granny Smiths and Jonathans. 🍎🍏

That tart, crisp apple against our rich homemade caramel is what makes the whole thing work. Sweet. Tart. Buttery. Crisp. Gooey. Balance.

It’s also why people who swear they don’t like Granny Smith apples suddenly understand when they take that first caramel-covered bite. 😂

The apple isn’t supposed to compete with the caramel. It’s supposed to make the caramel taste even better.

And THAT is the very serious science behind caramel apple season at Lillie Mae. 😉

Friends, Molly our Clear Lake store manager (and Lois her sister) have more creative talent in their pinky than most people could imagine! And we think they deserve to win!! 💕

They put together the coolest Harvest Festival light pole for our Clear Lake store! We just wanna take a bite out of it!!!

SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE… SHAKE YOUR B***Y. 🍫

Everybody has their own method for dipping the TorTush.

Some dip.
Some swirl.
Some give it a little tap.

And then there’s Sage… who apparently believes a proper TorTush requires a little shake, shake, shake. 😂

We hand dip every single TorTush, which means every crunchy, gooey caramel and nut center gets dipped in milk or dark with its t**h dipped in white chocolate.

And yes… we probably have WAY too much fun doing it.

But when your job involves chocolate and dipping t**hes all day, how could you not?

Spreading joy since 1939… one TorTush t**h at a time. 🍫
