Is there anything better than a kid with an ice cream smile? 3 kids with ice cream! 🍦💙

These 3 cuties stopped into our Clear Lake store and were SO excited to have their picture taken. Between the Superman ice cream, the loaded waffle cone, and those perfectly messy ice cream faces, they were definitely camera ready!

Moments like these are exactly why we love what we do. Thank you for letting us capture such a sweet memory. We hope your summer is filled with sticky fingers, big smiles, and plenty of ice cream! Stop in and see us at either our Marshalltown or Clear Lake stores!!

We may need to start a support group. But really… is there a problem? We think NOT. 😂🍏

Molly was feeling VERY pensive and thoughtful at our Clear Lake store while creating the official CAA Club: Caramel Apples Anonymous.

Apparently caramel apple season has hit her hard. 😂

The first step is admitting you love caramel apples.

The second step is… buying another caramel apple.

Honestly, this may be the worst support group ever.

Clear Lake officially has its CAA Club, so now we need to know… does Marshalltown need its own chapter too?

IT’S CARAMEL APPLE TIME!!! 🍎

Nicki and crew have been working hard figuring out our new space, where everything goes, and most importantly… how in the world we’re going to do caramel apple season in it! 😂

And they’re officially rolling!

We weren’t able to get our beloved Johnny Grimes to start the season this year, so we’re kicking things off with Granny Smith apples… which I know is going to make some of you VERY happy. You Granny Smith people have been asking us for years! 😂

We’re hoping by the end of next week we’ll have Jonathans available too.

Of course I had to do some official quality control and take the first bite. Tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. That tart Granny Smith with our homemade caramel is GOOD.

Every chocolate shop needs a hero. Ours just happens to answer to Tom Snyder. 😂

One of our chocolate machines has been down for OVER A MONTH while we waited on a part… much to the absolute chagrin of the girls who actually have to, you know, MAKE THE CHOCOLATE.

Today, Maintenance Man Tom stepped in, worked his magic, and WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS! 🙌

I’m not saying there was cheering when that machine fired back up… but I’m also not saying there wasn’t.

Thank you, Tom, for keeping Lillie Mae running one machine, one repair and one crisis at a time. ❤️

It's that time of year - our Marshalltown store is slowly giving up summer and transitioning to fall hours. We are closing at 6pm tonight. Thursday - Saturday we are closing at 7pm and then next week it will be 6pm Mon-Friday 9-4pm Saturday. But that also means something tart and sweet is coming!!!

We just sent sample boxes to Athletic Directors at schools across the area for our brand-new Concession Fundraising Program, and these aren’t your average bags of popcorn.

Each school received popcorn made in their school colors with their own personalized label!

Inside, we sent two sizes of Mae’s Mix, our sweet + salty combination of Caramel Crunch and Better Cheddar. And the best part for schools? They keep 50% of the sale.

Apparently our reviews have gotten criminally good.

Sirens blaring. Sonia and Skyelar in “handcuffs.” Both trying VERY hard to look like Billy Bad Asses.

And then… somebody cracked a smile. 😂

So much for their life of crime.

But the 5-star reviews? Those are very real. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every time someone takes a minute to leave us a review, it makes our day. We read them. We share them with the crew. And yes, apparently now we reenact felony arrests because of them.
