We’re exploring ideas for an official Oktemberfest 40th Anniversary Merch Store, and we’d love community input as we begin planning. 🍁

Because Oktemberfest-Iowa's Best Family Fall Festival is a nonprofit organization, all proceeds from the merch store would go directly back to Oktemberfest to help support the festival and its events!

We’re already considering a few classic pieces, including cute shirts and this embossed-look pennant flag design, but we’d love to know what people would actually be excited to purchase and use during festival weekend.

Would you like to see tote bags for parade candy?
Sweatshirts for chilly Oktemberfest mornings?
Hats for the concerts and outdoor events?
Kids shirts?
Blankets?
Tumblers?
Something else entirely?

As we prepare for the 40th Anniversary Celebration, we want the merch to feel fun, wearable, and meaningful for Oktemberfest and the Marshalltown community.

You all loved the embossed-look sweatshirt photo, so here it is in motion. 👀

This Gannaway Construction dino logo was definitely one of the more detailed designs we’ve tested with this technique, and we spent a few hours making sure every little line stitched the way we wanted it to.

The result? A soft, tonal, raised logo that’s subtle from far away but so good up close. 🤍

We had a few curious people wondering what a more detailed logo might look like with our viral embossed-look technique. 💛

After a few hours of adjusting, testing, and making sure every little detail stitched exactly how we wanted it, we went for it.

And Gannaway Construction? Turned out GOOD. 😍

This is why digitizing matters so much. A design like this isn’t just uploaded and stitched. Every line, curve, tiny detail, and stitch direction has to be thought through so the finished piece has that raised, tonal, embossed effect without losing the logo itself.

Another oldie, but still SO good. 🍦✨

This design started as a sticker idea way back when. Just a fun reminder to not let your own ice cream melt while counting somebody else’s sprinkles. 😉

Then, because we loved it so much, it made its way onto shirts. And now? It's on a tumbler.

That’s one of our favorite parts of creating designs in-house. Sometimes an idea starts small, and then suddenly it becomes something totally different. A sticker, a shirt, a tumbler, a gift, a whole little personality. 🫶🏼

This hat was giving major Dorothy vibes. So naturally, we leaned all the way in! 👠✨

We custom designed the artwork, digitized it for embroidery, and stitched it out just right to give it that soft, sweet, vintage-inspired feel.

The blue gingham brim, the soft blue thread, the little swirl in the lettering, it all came together so perfectly.

Because really, there’s no place like Iowa. 💛

If you found us through the embossed-look sweatshirt obsession or the Pep Rally fun... Hi! We’re so glad you’re here. 💛

We figured this might be a good time for a little reintroduction because while we do stitch a whole lot of school spirit, that’s only one little piece of what happens around here.

At Happily Ever Crafted - In Stitches, we create custom, personalized, "wait, you can make that?!" kind of things every single day.

Our main services include:

• Custom embroidery

• Hot foil personalization

And so much more!

Some days we’re stitching hats. Some days we’re engraving tumblers. Some days we’re printing transfers, pressing pencils, designing keepsakes, creating baby gifts, or testing something new because curiosity got the best of us.

We’re a small shop in downtown Marshalltown, and we love creating pieces that feel personal, meaningful, local, and just a little bit magical.
