The whole Sunday-prep thing finally clicked when I added one line to the list that was for me.
I do the lunches. I do the backpacks. I lay out the clothes and check the calendar and stage the whole Monday so it does not flatten me at 6am. Every line on that prep list is for somebody else.
So I added a line. The packet on the counter, next to the cup, ice already made in the freezer. Sunday night, the Monday-morning win pre-placed for the one person the prep usually forgets.
Monday still comes. But it comes to a counter where the first good thing of the day is already waiting, and it is mine.
