🌕FULL MOON DOWNLOAD | THE HARVEST MOON🌾
Tonight, we gather beneath the Harvest Moon.
The Harvest Moon is the full moon that falls closest to the Autumn Equinox, and its name has very practical roots. Around this time of year, the moon rises soon after sunset for several evenings, historically giving farmers a little extra light to gather the season’s harvest.
And energetically? I think there’s something beautiful in that imagery. A little extra light to see what we have grown. 🌾
The Harvest Moon invites us into gratitude, abundance, completion, reflection and release.
Think of tonight as an energetic harvest.
What did you plant earlier this year that has finally begun to bloom?
What came to fruition in ways you never expected?
What are you proud of?
What deserves to be celebrated?
And perhaps just as importantly…
What has finished its season?
Autumn reminds us every year that release is not failure. The trees let go beautifully. The gardens begin to quiet. Nature turns inward without apology.
We are allowed to do the same.
So before we begin asking the Universe for more, tonight is an opportunity to acknowledge what is already here.
Gather what nourishes you.
Give thanks for what grew.
Release what has run its course.
And begin making room for the quieter season ahead.
🌾Harvest. Give thanks. Release. Rest.
And for those of you who brought home one of our Under the Moon | Harvest Moon Ritual Kits, here is how I would use yours tonight🌕✨
Start by creating a little space for yourself. It doesn’t need to be elaborate. Turn down the lights. Put your phone away. Open a window if the evening allows it. Light your incense and allow the smoke to move through your space as you intentionally shift from the noise of the day into your practice.
Then light your candle. Let that little flame represent the light of the Harvest Moon, the light that helps us see clearly what we have cultivated. Next, prepare a cup of Unbound Tea. Sip slowly while you sit with your journal. Tonight, I’d divide a page into two sections:
🌾WHAT I AM HARVESTING
Write down everything this season of your life has given you. Accomplishments. Lessons. Relationships. Opportunities. Growth. Tiny victories. Things you once hoped for that have quietly become part of your everyday life.
Don’t rush past them. You are allowed to be proud of what you have grown.
Then:
🍂WHAT I AM RELEASING
What no longer needs to come with you?
A habit. A fear. An expectation. An old version of yourself. Resentment. Pressure. Something you have simply outgrown.
You don’t have to know exactly what comes next.
You only have to recognize when something has completed its season.
Take your crystal into your hands while you reflect on what you’ve written. Let it become a physical reminder of the intention you want to carry forward from tonight.
And then, when you’re ready, take your Enchantment Bath Soak with you into the bath. Let this part be your release.
As you settle into the water, imagine everything you wrote beneath What I Am Releasing beginning to loosen. You don’t have to force it away. Just give yourself permission to stop holding it quite so tightly.
Soak & Exhale. When you’re finished, let the water carry it away.
Finally, fill your moon water bottle and place it somewhere beneath the moonlight tonight. The crystals inside can remain part of your little Harvest Moon vessel, a reminder of this moment, this season, and the intentions you chose beneath this moon.
Tomorrow, bring that water inside and use it however it feels meaningful to your practice, on your altar, in ritual work, to anoint an object, or simply kept as a little piece of this particular moon.
And before you close your practice tonight, take one last look at that first journal page.
Look at what you harvested.
Sometimes we spend so much time reaching toward the next thing that we forget to turn around and see how far we have already come.
Tonight, we notice and we give thanks.
May you recognize the abundance already surrounding you, release what has finished its season, and carry only what nourishes you into the months ahead.
Happy Harvest Moon, seekers 🏹
