While escaping the city for a quiet quilt retreat at LaSalle Retreat Center in Wildwood, this Admin decided to test out the new wool ironing mats available in the shop. This mat from New Zealand is a full 60 inches AND has a grid marked on it. The grid really helped with keeping my rows together for Poppa Elli and keeping them straight as I pressed. I checked the table underneath and there was NO heat transfer. Poppa Elli is scheduled for a class July 29th at the shop. It’s a fun jelly roll friendly project for Christmas. July is the perfect time to start those holiday projects.

Just a reminder that the shop is closed on Monday, May 25th. We reopen on Tuesday, May 26th. @

Louise’s Color Workshop is this Saturday from 8:30 to 10 AM.

Would you put these colors together? Valerie and I were wondering (and yes, playing a bit). What palette would you pick to go with this floral focal fabric? We have more openings if you would like to join Louise in her Color Workshop Class.

While we were auditioning fabrics, Christy came in to pick up her Blooming 9-Patch, some of her fabrics reflected ours! Her choice of colors and Trudy’s quilting made this quilt sing!

It’s April 1st! Our coupon this month is 15% off one notion on the notion rack.

We have been excited about the Australian bolts that came in last week. Over 60 bolts! So we made jelly roll sets that are priced at $57.95. 21 colors, 2 strips of each. They are fantastic! There’s also a picture of a very pretty quilt that’s fast and easy to do with 10” squares. Did you know you can get (4) 10 inch squares from a 1/3 yard cut and have some cute accent strips leftover?

The last Saturday of National Quilting Month was a busy one for the Quilted Fox. Earlier in the week we received more than 60 bolts of Australian fabrics. They are beautiful! We had our last in a series of improv classes—curves! It was fun and productive. There are so many ways to go when you improv so we are hoping to add a Study Hall of Improv to put our completions into one project.
Then I will close out our pictures with finishes from the last two months.
