Made a machine cover to protect my new Janome. Turned out a little wider than expected so it's not perfect. It's hard to work with a machine that is so oddly shaped. And I still need to add the binding.
I made it shorter in the back because the extension table buts right up to the back of the machine.
Machine embroidered a B block for each end. B can stand for Beverly and/or Briar Rose Quilts.
You can probably tell I like red! 😁
Hoping to have a custom made extension table to fit my needs. My husband can have a guy at work cut the plexiglass, router the sides and drill the holes for the legs. Then it's just a matter of either buying or making the legs.
Now to get back to work on the T-Shirt Quilt I was working on!

I haven't lost any but I have broken 2! That's why I now have 3 at my sewing machine, 1 at my embroidery machine, 1 at my cutting station, and one in my travel kit.

Sometimes sewing teaches us lessons in the funniest ways! 😂 You lose your seam ripper, tell yourself you’ll find it in a minute, and somehow end up picking out stitches with your fingernails like a determined little raccoon. We’ve all had those moments when a simple sewing task suddenly becomes a test of patience!

But maybe that’s part of the beauty of creating. Not every stitch will be perfect, not every project will go according to plan, and sometimes we have to slow down, undo a little, and try again. The important thing is that we don’t give up just because something went wrong. Every stitch we remove gives us another chance to make things better, and every mistake teaches us something along the way. 🧵✨

So the next time you’re frustrated with a project, take a breath, have a little laugh, and remember: patience is a sewing skill too! And if your seam ripper mysteriously disappears… well, apparently your fingernails and a raccoon are perfectly capable of helping. 😂🦝

You can use so many different cabinets for Afghans and Quilts. Old China Cabinets, Old Gun Cabinets, Old Hope Chests (Cedar Chests), Old Trunks, Cloth Zipper Bags, Wicker Baskets, etc. Just don't store them in plastic. Quilts are best stored rolled up not folded.

Roll your quilts for storage to save them from wear lines, fade lines, and bad creases.
