Happy New Bike Build Complete Day for Trevor from Hanover, KS! His new Salsa Cycles Warbird has been the plan since February, Frameset first, then choosing & buying components a few at a time, & finally learning how to build it. He’s got 2 weeks to get it dialed in for the Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash! Have fun Trevor on this lighter/faster ride!

Nice surprise visit last evening from Lincoln, NE ultra distance rider Joypower Adventures Robb Finegan. He’s on a new mission, test riding his new Salsa Cycles Cutthroat bikepacking rig in preparation for 2027 Tour Divide. Always great to have him stop by Backroads Bicycle, camp in Marysville & have supper at El Ranchero! OneMarysville

Free event this Saturday morning July 4th. Walk/Run/Bike on the Blue River Rail Trail. Check in by 9am at the Backroads Bicycle tent(706 Broadway) for a free 2Fiddy sticker or buy a Tshirt. Starting at 9am there will be a fun ride for all ages up the rail trail to the Jayhawk Trailhead or further. Snacks & drinks provided free at Jayhawk Trailhead shelter, ride the kids track or the new easy flow singletrack trails. Then stay the rest of the day in downtown Marysville for all the other activities & fireworks!

Best Podium Photo ever! You might need a nap when you race all night in the Flint Hills with fog, wet sticky roads for 140+ miles of Rock Ridge Gravel. Congratulations Zak Hall and Backroads Bicycle rider Andy Phillips(he survived a crash) on another amazing accomplishment!

This is The Man, Zak Hall is attempting the Rock Ridge Gravel double, the Darkside 142 miles tonight, then jump in the Lightside 76 miler Saturday morning. He’s certainly capable of pulling this off, Go Zak!!
