Welcome to Mimi's Kids Children's Consignment Shop! We are a family operated business and opened in August 2005 and enjoy helping the Marysville and surrounding community! We are located right next to Value Village on State Avenue in the south end of the parking lot. We operate on a store credit value system. Good morning and happy Tuesday!!!!

This week all of our PURPLE clothing tags and all of our SHOES will be 50% off. As always, offer is NOT valid with store credit values or any other coupons.

We are scheduling trade in appointments again and are gearing up for back to school season! Please remember to bring your items in CLEAN (freshly laundered, this includes covers on equipment items!) and in working order! Please match up your items if they are sets (pajamas, outfits). We are currently offering credits out on the following:

*Back to school sizes and styles of clothing!! We carry up through a juniors small!
*Fall lines of clothing only: long sleeves, hoodies, short sleeves, pants, shorts for boys, jackets, vests, dresses, rain gear, etc. You can DONATE SUMMER clothing, but we are NOT offering credits on these styles
*Seahawks gear
*BOYS 3T through a size 8; we REALLY need size 4T & 5 PANTS!
*GIRLS NEWBORN as well as 12 months & larger, we REALLY NEED size 18 months through a 2T
*shoes, specifically boys, sizes 6 and larger
*Bikes, trikes, wagons, balance bikes, outdoor toys, etc.
*EQUIPMENT (strollers, swings, saucers, baby gates, jumpers, toddler car seats, etc)
*accessories such as: baby monitors, boppy’s, bumbo’s, baby carriers, etc.
*maternity/nursing clothes

We are NOT offering credits out on the following:

*SUMMER clothing
*bathtubs
*breastpumps
*nursing bras
*socks
*stuffed animals
*headbands
*bassinets
*cloth diapers
*cribs
*books

All trade ins are done by appointment only between 10am and 2pm Tuesday through Saturday. Appointments are scheduled in 15 minute time slots and for each appointment (you can schedule two at a time) we can look through ONE 13 gallon garbage bag or equivalent of clothing, there is no limit on equipment items or accessories however ALL items MUST be freshly laundered and wiped down/sanitized (this includes taking the cloth covers off of items and thrown through laundry) if you would like to see about receiving a store credit value for your items. Please give us a call at (360)651-6255 during business hours to schedule your appointment.

Don’t want to bother with the hassle of setting up an appointment or sorting through your items? Don’t want to wash them before bringing them in? You can DONATE your items at no trade in value any time during business hours and we will clean and sort your items.

What a sale!! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported us this past week, especially those of you who fought the crowds on the first day!! We had an excellent turn out and it was so wonderful to see all of you!! We even got to see some of you that we haven’t seen in years! Our work is definitely a labor of love!! Little Miss KinLeigh was a trooper and put in MANY extra hours this past week too! Now we are going to gear up for back to school! So as you clean out those wardrobes for new back to school clothes be sure to think of us and schedule a trade in appointment to receive credit into the store. For now we are going to enjoy a couple days off to relax and we will see you all on Tuesday!

It’s the FINAL day and we will be busy ALL day adding to the racks! Our equipment has definitely dwindled so we will be looking for it next week for trade ins! We still have lots to look at though! Good morning and happy Tuesday!!!!

Our 21st Anniversary Sale starts THIS Wednesday, August 5th and will run through Saturday, August 8th. Everything in our store will be 50% off the marked price all 4 days of the sale and we will have a TON of items to go out throughout the days of the sale! We will have 2 cash registers to help with lines that add up at times, however we only have ONE card machine, so if you have cash (or want to grab cash beforehand) you can skip the line (if need be) and use our CASH ONLY register.

Due to our upcoming sale, we will NOT be scheduling any trade in appointments this week as we get ready for sale days. We will start scheduling trade in appointments again AFTER our sale. When we resume trade in appointments we will be primarily looking for BACK TO SCHOOL sizes and styles of clothing! Be sure to think of us while you clean out those closets this summer as you prepare for those back to school wardrobes!

We do accept donations at any time for NO TRADE IN VALUE. You can drop your items right inside the front door or you can give us a call and we will come and get them from your car. If you don’t feel like cleaning up your items first, you can donate them and we will get them cleaned up and ready for a new home.

Feeling a little reminiscent this morning. Today officially marks 21 years since we opened our doors for the first time. A dream of my moms come true! We worked countless hours preparing a little house on grove street to be ready to offer an alternative in second hand clothing & baby gear for kids. We jumped in blind with faith on our side that we were going to make it in this crazy world of business. We wanted to give a second chance to items that kids so quickly outgrow and offer them at a discounted price to others who could use the items. We wanted to offer a service to the public where you could get credit for items instead of just donating to thrift stores and use it to get new items that you could use. Our inventory quickly outgrew our location, however affordable commercial real estate was not easy to find. Our first landlord was the owner of Grove Street Market and he was always so supportive of us! We were lucky to find our current location, the old movie store in town that had been a doggy daycare for a bit and then sat empty for a while. One email to the property manager and a kind older gentleman that was willing to work with us for a bit and we were ready to take a leap of faith and move our store from grove street to State Avenue. We knew we could use the space, but we hoped we weren’t taking on more than the two of us could manage! With more space came more bills and no one took clothing as a payment option 😝 we have had our ups and downs throughout the years. We’ve increased hours, decreased hours, been open 7 days a week and back to 5 as we have come to the realization that life is short, we have to take time for our families too. Our work doesn’t stop during business hours. So MUCH has to be washed and with no laundry facilities on site, that means EVERYTHING has to be taken home to be laundered. Items get transported back and forth as we work after hours at home so we can be “present” in our home environments, but still get things done that aren’t going to do themselves. We have family and friends who so graciously offer to help and we appreciate every one of them! Being shut down for 3 months during covid almost broke us, but we worked tirelessly posting inventory at deeply discounted prices to scrape by and get the bills paid to remain open. Praise the Lord that they lifted the closure ban when they did and we were able to open back up with stipulations. We have met SO many wonderful families and have watched them grow throughout the years. What a blessing it is to see kids that have been raised shopping at our store now buying things for their babies 🥰 our family has grown significantly too! My babies have all started working within months of their arrival and continue to bless you all with their presence at work 🤣 we’ve had health scares with temporary closures. We’ve celebrated, mourned, laughed and even cried with many of you! We are human too! We don’t get sick days or the opportunity to call in for a personal day just for the heck of it. We have some great reviews and we have some nasty ones too as most businesses do. The nasty ones hurt. There is no other way to put it. We try SO hard to provide a service to the community where clothing can be affordable for growing families. The economy is NUTS especially around here. We donate to many organizations, primarily to the Arlington Kids Kloset and Tiny Tots. We’ve worked with Miss Kimberly for years and Miss Karla more recently with the addition of Tiny Tots. Such an amazing resource for our community! We send items to them ALL the time and recommend to so many of you to donate to them as well! When it’s all said and done we are just a small family run business trying our best to survive in a crazy world. We are so grateful for your continued support of one woman’s dream made into a reality that we continue to work SO hard for! It definitely is a labor of love!
