Planting the first 600 lavender plants this weekend.

Started tilling our vegetable garden today. Hope to get the plants in the ground tomorrow. It’s a give away garden to help our community.

We went into our 2 hives for the first time since installing the packages. We found 1 queen. Going to look again in a few days to see if we can find the other one.

Gave the girls a couple of bird baths for water. Put stones and gravel to keep them from drowning.

Had a great day in the greenhouse. Installed climate controlled fan and lights. Started a few seeds for the garden we will soon plant.

And so it begins !!!! Our plants were delivered today. Great looking plants thanks to North Carolina Farms Inc. very happy with our plants. We plan to replant them into larger pots to establish their root systems better and allow them to acclimate to our area. We’ve had a few cold snaps lately. They will spend a few weeks in our greenhouse while we get our rows ready. Can’t wait to see them next year. 600 plants this month and another 400 next month. Giving God the glory for the blessings He is going to bring to our farm.
