Did you know that color has three main components?

There are many terms used to describe these color aspects but generally they are known as:

⭐️Temperature - the warmness or coolness of a hue

⭐️Value- the lightness or deepness of a color (this happens when white or black are added to a pure hue)

⭐️ Intensity- the clearness or softness of the color (pure hues are softened when grey is added to them)

Individual’s coloring falls somewhere along a scale in each of these categories. Determining where you fall on those scales allows us to identify your harmonious color pallet or colors and contrast ratios that repeat your natural coloring.

We generally look our best when we harmonize our makeup and clothing with our natural coloring.

Next up in the giveaway basket is a black 🐻print and matching notecards from Pinkie Mistry Art!
Local artist Pinkie Mistry opened her gallery and studio in downtown Maryville above Neghborly Books earlier this year and has been a wonderful addition to our downtown community. If you haven’t stopped in yet, you should make a point to! 🎨🖌️
Fun fact: Pinkie’s art has graced the pages of several children’s 📚 and in addition to her work on canvas, she began as a talented graphic designer.

What else could be in our giveaway basket?!? It’s none other than McQueen Pottery ‘s handcrafted bud vase! Their clean, classic, and simple dinnerware can be found in top notch eateries across our region and is perfect for enjoyment in your own home or even as a thoughtful gift.

The best part is they have art classes next door at Studio 212 Arts! Their kids and teens summer art camps are currently enrolling, so check them out before they fill up.
