Good Monday to everyone and "Thank you"'! Business has picked up amazingly and the store has been packed over the past two weeks.
BUT we are in URGENT need to get our rent caught up and be a month ahead. We are just getting ready to pay the July rent and it was due on the 15th of July and it will be due again on Aug 15.
Over the weekend a lady came in the store for the second time, demanding to speak to an "OWNER"
Last week it was explained to her that we don't not have an OWNER, we have a a Board of Directors
She was wanting to Lease our building because she was wanting to start a Faith Based Thrift Store (non-profit). I explained that you have to fill out paperwork (lots of it to be a non-profit) which she did not seem to care.
I do know that she contacted my landlord looking for a building to lease and I fear if we do not pay our rent and keep it current (not late), I would expect that she may just get the current 4 Chic Building.
Business is business and I cannot blame them as we have been late two months now. This lady was very rude to myself and Faith on both occasions of her being in the store and I as the manager and Board Member have been very stressed between 4 Chics and the Humane Society (animals calls are non-stop). I had to turn my phone off for the weekend and take a break as my mental and physical health depended on it).
My phone will be turned on at 11:00 am Monday morning after an appointment that I have which will be 30 minutes after this post hits our page.
Please if you all can help us with monetary donations to get ahead of the rent until we can build the account up it would be AMAZING!! I truly feel this is our last shot at saving the store and stopping "GABBY's Mission" from coming to an End. 🐾💔🐾
The store will be OPEN this Sunday Aug 2 from 12-5 and next Thursday Aug 6 from 12-5 as a trial to see what are busier days. If anyone would like to VOLUNTEER a day a week, we can always try to open even more.
