Affordables Thrift Store

Affordables Thrift Store Training site for people with barriers to employment to learn customer service and retail skills. Donations open Mon-Wed~Friday 9-5

Affordables is a division of 43 North Iowa and currently trains over 40 people with disabilities in a retail setting. Currently our hours for the Affordables Thrift Store (315 N. Delaware, 423-7071) are 9am-5pm Monday - Saturday. Items will be accepted for donation Monday-Saturday from 9am-4:45pm. Items must be visibly clean and well maintained, we reserve the right to refuse donations that may not appear this way due to the safety and well being of our team members and customers. The donations that Affordables receives provides job skill training in a retail setting. Job seekers at our locations learn important work skills such as; cashiering, displaying merchandise, and customer services to name a few. Without your donations our mission of "Helping People Find Their Way" would not be the success that it is. Thank you for your continued support of 43 North Iowa.

August SpotLight: Meet Jace! 👋

Jace takes pride in the stability he has built and finds joy in things that make life meaningful like having a stable place to come home to is something Jace is especially proud of.

Jace enjoys eating out, playing video games and listening to Goth music. He also has a particular love for sushi. His favorite memory from this year was attending the 43 North Iowa Block Party. 

When asked how they see themselves, Jace shared that he feels he is a good person and states he knows he is never alone in his struggle with mental health. He feels supported by 43 North Iowa. His experiences have given him an important perspective on perseverance and hope. 💚💙

Jace’s advice to others is simple, but powerful “never stop trying to live the life you want.“✌️🫶
