I love love. 💞 So when someone asks if I make sea salt wedding favors, it delights me!
If you or someone you know, wants to give guests a little taste of Maine to take home, I’d be honored to help. ✨

I was recently asked to host a little sea salt spice-blending gathering at Tops’l Farm. Being front and center has never been something I’ve naturally enjoyed, but I can talk about salt for days.

It ended up being the most warm and welcoming group of women I’ve ever met. I left remembering just how amazing it is when badass women gather together.

Someone asked me which part of the entire setup is my least favorite. I’d have to say… filtering the ocean water into the tables.
Obviously it’s an important step (no one wants a surprise tiny shell in their salt), but the ocean collection happens around high tide and I am fully beholden to the tide schedule. I check it almost religiously, even starting now I am mapping out summer like a salt obsessed lunar planner weirdo
So sometimes the tables get filled in the middle of the day… which means the greenhouse can be easily 100 degrees. Standing there swapping out filters is, if I’m being honest, a little boring. Necessary and sometimes it can even feel a bit meditative.
But mostly it’s sweaty. Lucky for me, I can just jump in the ocean afterwards
Have any other questions?
