Attic antics, poultry acquisition …..
the chicken flew the coop from the estate sale full of dolls. 🐔
Then 20 miles away in Sullivan, I found what I thought might be her long-lost sister.

Upon further inspection by Walter, our highly qualified poultry specialist, we have determined…
that is a turkey. 🦃😂

So, not sisters. Cousins.

Also, nobody knows why Walter is riding the turkey. We’re just letting him live his best life.

Fast-forward to a couple weeks later I found the Hen on nest and the rooster. I wasn’t going to grab the turkey, but I ended up doing just that actually I think he just waddled right over and jumped in the back of my car.

Well… there she is. ❤️

My very first Attic Antics booth.

What started as treasure hunting, piles in the garage, cleaning, researching, pricing, handwritten tags, and a whole lot of “What in the world did I buy?” has officially become Booth 58. 🥹

I’m still learning. I’m still moving things around. And I already know I’ll probably rearrange it approximately 847 times. 😂 But seeing that Attic Antics sign hanging there made this little adventure feel very real.

And yes… peep Walter. 👀😂

He supervised the entire operation.

He inspected the merchandise from inside the box, oversaw setup, and by the final photo appears to have completely given up on management.

At this point, Walter was still the ONLY employee. Earl hadn’t been hired yet, so the poor guy was carrying this entire company on his tiny wooden shoulders. 😂

But we did it, Walter. ❤️

Attic Antics has a home.

On this episode of attic antique estate sale adventures……. I sent Chatty Cathy this photo. Leading up to this estate sale. I have sent some photos of what was coming……😳😳😳😳

NOOOOOOOO. 😭🤣😂🤣😂

WHAT IN THE 1974 CHURCH-BAZAAR NIGHTMARE IS THIS?!

The plastic-canvas clown coat.
The three enormous blue pom-poms.
The balloons permanently attached to his hand.
THE HAIR. 😳

And the expression says:

“I’ve been waiting for you.”

Absolutely not. 😂😂😂

This one doesn’t just have information. This one has access to records.

And look behind him!!! The dolls are literally congregating. 😭🤣 It’s like he’s their regional manager.

This fails our test spectacularly:

Would I want him to know where I live?

NO.

I don’t even want him to know what COUNTY I live in. 🤣😂🤣

PLEASE tell me you left Balloon Gary at the estate sale. 😭😂

Meet Walter. 😂

Today I went to an estate sale that had more dolls—and doll HEADS and doll PARTS—than any reasonable person should encounter before lunch. 😳

I had every intention of bringing home one tiny vintage doll head to become the unofficial Attic Antics sidekick.

I couldn’t do it. 😂

Some of them looked like they’d been awake since 1937.

Some had definitely seen things.

And a few looked like they already knew where I lived. 😳

Then I found this little guy.

No creepy eyes.
No questionable hair.
No ability to stare at me in the middle of the night.

Just a tiny wooden man with rope legs and absolutely no idea what’s going on.

So…meet Walter, the unofficial Attic Antics sidekick. 🤎

He survived the Great Doll Estate Sale of 2026 and came home with me.

Walter has seen nothing.
Walter knows nothing.
Walter has no information. 😂

You’ll probably be seeing him around.

On this episode of Attic Antics heads to the estate sale….. bear 40 minutes before same time….. 26th in line 😳😮😳😮😳

I’ve been waiting for this one for about two weeks since I saw it advertised. I knew it was going to be a doozy. Let me tell you…..so much stuff! A house full. A collector. A crafter. A person who kept all the things. I got lots of good things. Some of them to keep and some to share and let someone else love them. I’ll be posting about all the interesting things and what I got.

Attic Antics has officially hired a vintage expert. 😂❤️

Meet my 102-year-old quality-control department.

I brought in my latest treasure-hunting finds, and you better believe she’s checking them ALL out. And really… who am I to argue with someone who was around when some of my “vintage” finds were brand new?! 😂

She examines every piece carefully and some of them we tried to decide what exactly they are.

I may have the Attic Assistant aka chatty Cathy to help me research them… but I’m pretty sure she outranks both of us. 😂❤️

There’s something pretty special about watching her hold these old pieces and wondering what memories they might bring back.
