A big THANK YOU to MN DNR for maintaining 200 public "stream trout" lakes in Minnesota with brookies, 'bows, browns, and splake! These lakes are a remarkable resource in the upper Midwest. Many are in beautiful, remote locations where one shares the lake with loons and not other anglers. And they are perfect for !

2 pioneers created these classic US made float tubes: 1950's 9.5 lb Fishmaster 250 donut, cotton canvas cover over rubber inner tube with attached paddle pushers developed by Bob Brown. The 6.5 lb Wood River V-boat Stealthrider nylon cover over PVC bladders was a huge advance in performance developed by Peter Ross in the '90's. With advancing technology high performance ultralight float tubes are now just 3lbs.
