We just finished this custom build for our newest SGO Family member, David White!
This one highlights David’s passion for MOPAR performance and being a cancer survivor.

We built this on on a St Croix USALWT70MLF SCIV+ blank in dark blue to resemble his beloved Dodge Power Wagon.

The reel seat is Fuji IPS with custom made, Flor grade, cork grips showcasing the RAM logo over flamed maple in a blue burst technique I pulled from my luthier experience. You’ll see this in the hood and fore section of the rod as well.
The guides are SeaGuide with blue zirconia rings.

The best part of this craft is getting to know our customers. David is an amazing, resilient person whom we are so glad to have met. Thank you David, for choosing Sterling Gray Custom Rods. We look forward to a great friendship and building many more rods you.

Let’s welcome Stephen Klee and little girl, Lucy, to the SGO family!

Stephen asked me to build a matching set of rods for him and his daughter, who is his little fishing buddy.

Built on Rod Geeks Blanks , his is a 6’10” medium light/extra fast. The SC4lIV+ is light and sensitive. Paired with carbon fiber grips in pink and black to match the pink blank, custom turned pink acrylic winding checks, slim Fuji VSS reel seat and Fuji Alconite guides.
Lucy’s is made from the SCII line of blanks in 5’6”, perfectly match her daddy’s Rod. She will be giving the bluegill a rough way to go while dad is chasing the bass.

Welcome to the family. We can’t wait to see the fish pictures from Stephen and Lucy.
