Our last Challenge Yourself 2026 event starts later this month. The “New Friends” Contest will have 25 participant spots available. Registration cost is $15. Prize will be an Apron Strings gift basket worth at least $150.
Sign-ups begin September 15th, and run through October 1st or until spots are full.
Each registered participant will receive one piece of the Aloha Girl fabric and the Mendota pattern. Participants are challenged with pairing the focus fabric with “new friends”. This means you cannot use any other pieces of Fig Tree designed fabric. Otherwise, you can use anything from your stash, or a new purchase (from us or any other shop) as long as it’s not a Fig Tree designed print.
Completed quilts must be made using the focus fabric and the provided pattern. It must be complete - quilted, bound, and labeled. You will also need to physically bring your completed quilt into Apron Strings Quilt Shop to be photographed on or before November 14th 2026 in order to be eligible for the Facebook vote. Facebook voting will begin on November 20th, 2026.
