We thank you for your friendship and for supporting Reverie Wine Shop. We are sadly closing our doors in the coming weeks but not before two more Thursday night tastings. Tonight 3-8p we will have a Muscadet, Tasmanian Sparkling Rose, Napa Merlot and local Port expression.

Biodynamic Gavi from Cascina degli Ulivi. Largely responsible for the legitimization of biodynamic viticulture since the early 80s, the late Stefano Bellotti preached holism and natural farming while bucking a system that was based on the commodification of nature.
Cortese (white) grape is primary here in the eastern Piedmont region of Italy along with Dolcetto (red).
Tonight’s Thursday tasting will feature three natural wines from this pioneer producer. Unfined, unfiltered, unsulfured. Unadulterated wines of character. Come taste and learn more about Ulivi and natural wine. 3 to 8p.

Local and their first vintage of traditional sparkling method Brut of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
A fuller riper Grüner Veltliner from Kelby James Russel from Finger Lakes, finally a classic, Old World style Cabernet Franc from long-standing estate and winemaker of the year from Hermann Wiemer.

Week 1 we look at Northern Italy with a Traditional method sparkling wine from Franciacorta DOCG, a sub-alpine white from Soave Classico, and a wonderfully structured Nebbiolo from the Langhe hills in Piedmont. Corresponding regional cheeses sold separately .

Tonight’s Wine Tasting! We’re Looking at Spanish Rioja with two reds and a white from this historic region. Don’t miss it this evening from 3-8p.
We’ll begin with a gorgeous white based on the Viura grape. This age worthy white wine from Sierra Cantabria is showing tropical and orchard fruit and baking spice. Next, Lopez de Heredia Bosconia 2009 is drinking perfect right now and we will try alongside Rioja Alta Reserva 2016. This may call for some Manchego.
