They are here - and they are beautiful! 🌼

Our new Batik Cotton Jersey Knit shipment has landed and is unloaded — 17 new designs, including the rich, gorgeous color of Les Fleurs and Verde. Every piece is hand-dyed and hand-stamped, so no two production runs are ever quite the same.

A customer asked us a simple question: “Do you have a pattern for a sewing machine carrier?”

We didn’t.

But now we do!

The Stitcher’s Suitcase by ByAnnie just arrived at SewBatik. It’s designed to carry and protect a featherweight or other small sewing machine — perfect for taking your machine to class, a sewing day, retreat, or wherever you like to stitch.

And, of course, we’re already looking at our batiks and imagining the possibilities. I take my Janome Jem to and from work and this will be a perfect carrier. It's definitely time to remove the white plastic sewing machine case.

I'm thinking 5.0oz Batik Canvas with fall shades like Gardenista Vine - Napa. I think that will be perfect for a stylish carry bag.

Each includes 3+ yards of Batik Rayon remnants, with so many possibilities for piecing, scarves, garments and scrappy projects.

Happy Fabric Friday quilters!

I’m so happy to share this new quilt kit with you! Trellis by Cluck Cluck Sew! It features our Nuance Gradations stamped with the Medora Flora motif. 16 fabrics of pure color!

The background is our Hand Dyed - Glacier. It’s our lightest hand dyed fabric.

Today I’ll finish the quilt top. But, I’ll need your help deciding on the perfect 112” Batik cotton backing!
