Major personal win unlocked! 🎉👇

As a crocheter first and a knitter second, I’ve always had a quick trigger finger when it comes to asking for help fixing my knitting mistakes. Dropped stitches? Off-count rows? Complete mystery tangles? I used to call in reinforcements every single time.

But this morning... it happened. I dropped a stitch that laddered down across multiple rows. 😱

Let’s talk about craft reality for a second... 🧵❤️

We love the picture-perfect photos on the front of kit boxes as much as anyone. But when a kid picks up a needle for the first time? Sometimes Arthur the Tiger looks a little less like the photo and a whole lot more like Jimothy.

And you know what? We LOVE Jimothy.

Jimothy has character. Jimothy builds fine motor skills. Jimothy taught someone how to thread a needle and practice a little patience instead of staring at a tablet screen for three hours!

DAY TWO OF OUR FABRIC POP-UP IS HERE! 🎒✨

This is the Violet Backpack, one of the patterns available at the Pop Up. The Southern Charm collection by Riley Blake is an absolute showstopper, and make beautiful projects for those going back to school!

We are open all day today at The Square Yard! Come grab your yardage, pre-cuts, and project inspiration before the weekend is over.
