Just a reminder that if it is too good to be true, it probably is! SCAMMERS! When in doubt turn down the sale or refund. And ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS verify larger orders! You can do this by looking up their phone number and seeing if it matches what they gave you! Double verify all of the shipping information online. I had one once that was just one digit off! Yep, scam. Almost didn't see it! AND if you have a fraud checking system on your website, BELIEVE IT! They have more information that they let you see! But don't always believe if it says chance of fraud "low"
I know, I know! Well, maybe it's real! I SOOO know that feeling. AND I have had situations where it seemed really weird but it was real. Real people will ALWAYS work with you, even if they get a little frustrated. (But sometimes fakes will too!)
Just had one today that was using a shipping forwarder. Called up the number that Google gave me and they guy just says "Hello" no name of business. I googled the website and it even looked like a website. I asked what business this was. "You called me, what business is it". Hangs up. Tried to call back dead signal. Tried the other number from the internet. Dead signal. Finally tried the phone number from the order, you guessed it, dead signal. I did also email the original person that placed the order and asked to see the photo ID with the last 6 digits to see if the names matched. So far, no response.
And yes, I did cancel and delete the order.
Another time I called and talked to the person for a long time. Seemed legit. My fraud detection said there was a high chance of fraud but everything seemed in order. Held on to it for a few days. Sure enough, fraud! And the guy seemed SOOOO nice. Gerr.
The new issue is that if you catch them and they talk to you they will just give you new fake info :(. At that point it is a good idea to make them run it through a platform that will protect you like SHOP. Just make sure the protection is activated!!!
