🍓 Strawberry Update 🍓

It was our first year, we didn’t have expectations , thank you to those that messaged for berries and came to pick. I’m risk adverse, meaning I always start small and see where it leads.

There are a few tiny ones left, but I’m planning to save those in my freezer, for winter treats.

We are so excited to share our first Get to Know Your Local Producers Farm Stand Crawl happening on Friday, June 26th from Noon–7 PM!
This will be a fun little country road tour featuring local makers, growers, bakers, and producers — all within about a 15-mile radius, making it the perfect way to spend an afternoon exploring, shopping small, and discovering what’s available right here in our community.
Here’s how it will work:
📍 Pick up or print a Local Producers Passport
🚗 Visit the participating farm stands/producers
🛍️ Make a purchase and collect each stop’s code word
🎁 Turn in your passport for a chance to win a basket filled with local goodies
✨ Watch for special event products, featured items, and crawl-only finds at each stop!
This is a great chance to take a scenic drive, meet the hands behind the homemade, homegrown, and locally raised goods, and support the families and small businesses in our area.
More details, participating stops, and passport information will be shared soon — but for now, mark your calendars for June 26th from Noon–7 PM and plan to take the country roads with us!

My refrigerator is filling up, strawberry season is here! $5/lb if we pick, less if you want to come pick.

We picked strawberries tonight, $5/lb, we will be in PDC tomorrow, or you can pick up on farm. I may have eaten a pound for dessert tonight.

The what’s blooming tour in a vase! I’ll get around to doing a growing tour soon, every time I want to it is so windy.

I will continue to pick asparagus for the next couple of weeks, so don't miss your chance to get your fill before the season is over.

Picked before the potential frost, let me know if you want asparagus this week. $4/lb. I’ll be in Monona, PDC, Elkader, McGregor this week or if it works to stop by the farm you can do that too.

By The Spoonful has had little dried flower bouquets from me, and this is the easiest way to style them. A great reason to have your favorite vase on display.
