Want a lighter quilt? Don’t confuse loft with weight! 🪶

For lightweight batting, consider an 80/20, 70/30, 60/40 blend, or 100% polyester. Choose 60/40 for more loft, or 80/20 for a flatter finish.

Polyester can range from very low to very high loft while remaining lightweight.
For the lightest result, stick with blends or polyester; 100% cotton typically creates a heavier quilt.

What’s the best 80/20 batting? The answer may depend on your project! 🧵

Nearly every major batting brand offers an 80/20 option, including Hobbs, The Warm Company, Quilters Dream, Pellon, Quilters Select, and Choice Supreme.

Hobbs may be Corey’s longtime favorite, but there are excellent choices across every brand available at Linda’s.

The best batting isn’t automatically someone else’s favorite; it’s the one that works for you!
