’Tis a season of change. The annual McMinnville Holiday Market at The Bindery Event Space will not be happening this year. After 10 magical years of hosting the premier holiday market in McMinnville, we have made the hard decision to not host an event this year. As owners of The Bindery and the McMinnville Holiday Market, we had to cancel market plans when we made the hard decision to close operations at The Bindery earlier this fall. While this decision was necessary, the market vendors and local community were always on our mind when we were reconciling the impact it would have on the market.
The spirit of the market was found in the walls of our historic venue, filled by the creativity and commitment of our vendors and the joy of our shoppers each year. That spirit is what we will miss most. There may be other markets pop up, but know that what made our market special was our dedication to our vendors and community, because that is who we are. Each smile shared and hug given was because you mattered to us and we were so thankful you were there.
Our successes were because of the amazing makers and producers and the community that showed up year after year to shop small and support local. And we hope your support continues as we welcome a new era in our business.
Last year we opened our new retail store, Nash & Nichol, next door to The Bindery and the market. This year we are putting our full energy into bringing some of the market magic to our store. You will find many of your favorite vendors’ products for sale at Nash & Nichol and we will be hosting fun popups and events to support these small businesses owners throughout the holiday season.
While we will miss turning on the holiday music at the market this year, we hope you will continue to support our locally owned store, Nash & Nichol this holiday season. Please follow along at for all of our exciting plans and we can’t wait to see you soon.
