Why is everyone so crazy about Longaberger Baskets?
If you grew up in the ’80s or ‘90s, chances are you remember these beautiful handcrafted baskets sitting on a kitchen counter, hanging on a wall, or filled with fresh rolls at Grandma’s house.
But did you know they’re much more than just baskets?
✨ A little history…
Longaberger was founded in Ohio in 1973 by Dave Longaberger, whose family had been weaving baskets for generations. Every basket was handcrafted in America by skilled artisans using traditional techniques, making each one a functional work of art.
Unlike mass-produced baskets, every basket was signed and dated by the weaver, making each one unique.
Why collectors still love them today:
• Handwoven in the USA
• Exceptional craftsmanship
• Signed and dated by the basket weaver
• Hundreds of styles, shapes, and sizes
• Seasonal and limited-edition releases
• Beautiful pottery, liners, protectors, lids, and accessories to customize each basket
Some retired or limited-production baskets have become highly collectible, especially those in excellent condition with their original liners, lids, protectors, and paperwork.
Whether you use them for baking, decorating, organizing, or simply displaying, Longaberger baskets have a timeless charm that’s hard to find today.
