This seashell flower started with an idea my customer had. Together we chose and arranged seashells until that vision became something we could actually hold in our hands.

Every shell has its own shape, texture, and story—and somehow, they came together to create something truly unique.

I love when creating becomes a collaboration. Her vision. My hands. A little creativity in between. 💕

Before we had air conditioning, we had hand held fans…

🌸 A Little Piece of Southern History

I recently came across this vintage paper fan, and the more I learned about it, the more I loved it!

Dating to around the late 1940s–early 1950s, this little fan was a promotional piece from Belk’s “Your Friendly Family Stores” and advertised stores in Albany, Dawson, Americus and Fitzgerald, Georgia.

The beautiful floral design is on the front, while the back carries the original Belk’s advertising. These little fans were everyday promotional items—but somehow, this one survived for roughly 75 years and made its way from Georgia all the way to North Carolina!

I don’t know its whole journey, but that’s part of what makes it special. A little piece of Southern history, still telling its story all these years later. ❤️

And no…this one is NOT becoming a craft project! 😂

Some things are just meant to be preserved.

Y’all, the garden is alive and thriving… with a few more weeds than anything else! 😂🌱

But with a little help from Kingston, we managed to bring in a good harvest and get quite a bit of that jungle cleaned up. I’d say that’s a win! 🥒🍅🌽

Now, on to the next adventure because fall planting is coming soon! 🍂🌱
