It’s opening day, what’s better than a giveaway?

✨ ’Twas the night before Cosey Collectibles Antiques & Thrift opens… ✨

And I’m sitting here thinking about how in the world we actually made it here. 🥹❤️

Tomorrow morning, I get to unlock the doors to something I never in a million years imagined would become my reality — our very own antique and thrift store.

But this dream didn’t start with a storefront.

It started when I was about three years old, going thrifting and to flea markets with my dad. ❤️ He taught me so much of what I know, gave me a love for finding forgotten treasures, and planted a seed in me long before I ever realized where it would lead.

Dad, I wish more than anything you could be here to see this. I hope you know just how much of you is inside those four walls. ❤️

I also want to thank my husband and my family, who have supported every crazy idea, every late night, every pile of glass, every thrift haul, every package and every step of this journey. My husband has supported me as a nurse, a mom, and an entrepreneur, and somehow believed in this dream even during the moments when I wasn’t sure where it was taking us.

And to the incredible vintage and glass community that helped inspire me along the way —, Jessica Honeycutt, &
Beehive Treasures , Palmerglowco , rccyellowbird, Eightfold Haven,Golden Oldies, House Of Coop, Three Rivers Retro, Lucia Cursio, and SO many more amazing sellers and friends I’ve met on this journey — thank you. ❤️

I have learned from you, laughed with you, bought from you, sold alongside you, and been inspired by you more than you probably realize.

What started as selling vintage from our basement and shed became a community. Then it became a business.

And tomorrow, it becomes a storefront. 🥹

I’m emotional. I’m nervous. I’m excited.

But more than anything…

I am absolutely THRILLED that tomorrow morning, I get to watch one of my biggest dreams come true.

Here’s to the next chapter of Cosey Collectibles Antiques & Thrift. 🦉❤️

What does “I thrifted it” mean to YOU? 👀

Do you consider it thrifting if you found it at an antique mall? What about a yard sale, estate sale, church sale, flea market… or does “thrifting” strictly mean a thrift store?

For me, when I say “I thrifted it,” I mean I GOT IT FOR A STEAL. 😂🙌 I don’t care where it came from!

And YES—you absolutely CAN find steals at antique malls. You just have to look hard enough, dig a little, and know your stuff. 👀💰

We finished the GLOW ROOM today! 💚✨

We’re getting SO close! All that’s left is to sweep and mop, add a rug or two, and finish pricing the middle room. Seeing everything finally come together after all the work we’ve put into this place is such an exciting feeling! 🥹❤️

And tomorrow or Thursday, our outdoor signs are going up! We seriously cannot wait to see Cosey Collectibles officially on the building! A huge shoutout to Shadow Signs and Graphics for making them—they have been absolutely wonderful and such a pleasure to work with. ❤️

One step closer to opening those doors! 🦉💚
