The next time you find yourself inside Red Poppy Pickin’, I hope you’ll stop and smell the boo-jie—because every House of Blushwood candle is handcrafted by me, from the first carefully placed wick to the final finishing touch.

I thoughtfully source high-quality ingredients from trusted manufacturers that value both exceptional products and environmental responsibility. Every vessel is washed, every wick is placed by hand, and each batch is carefully measured, mixed and timed to create a beautiful fragrance experience—both lit and unlit.

The wax is poured slowly to help prevent trapped air bubbles, then each candle is allowed to cure before being finished by hand. Even the labels are dreamed up, designed, printed and applied by me.

Before a candle reaches the shop, its wick is trimmed, its finishing details are added, and it receives one final inspection—because you deserve something made with care.

We’ve been moving things. Again. 🎀

Because apparently House of Blushwood’s favorite hobby is rearranging furniture until an entire booth feels like somewhere you’d like to move into.

We spent the last two days fluffing, shifting, hanging, stacking, styling and generally making a beautiful mess at Red Poppy Pickin’.

The big booth has been opened up and reimagined with little rooms to wander through, furniture tucked into proper vignettes, candles nestled among the pretty things, and just enough Halloween mischief creeping in for the season. 🕷️

And our little Paper & Parcel corner got some love too — cards, candles, cheeky little gifts and plenty of reasons to wander through those old doors.

It’s layered.
It’s collected.
It’s a little ridiculous.
And it feels very Blushwood.

Come poke around. Open a drawer. Read the cards. Smell the candles. Fall in love with something you absolutely did not come in for.

A little rearranging. A little plotting. A whole lot of Blushwood in the works. ✨

We spent yesterday shifting, fluffing, moving, and making a bit of a mess at Red Poppy Pickin’ — all in the name of what’s coming next.

It’s far from finished, but she’s presentable for the weekend. 😉 Next week we’ll be back with paintbrushes in hand, displays getting their makeovers, and plenty of new pretties finding their places.

Consider this your little peek at the “before the after.”
