My theory was correct. I was getting cichlids like Severums to lay eggs but was having difficulty successfully getting fry because I believe tank size was too small. I was about to give up on breeding Severums in 40B but I came to conclusion if I could crowd the tank and stimulate breeding season, big water change and adding ice due to heat, they would breed. This is one of the crowded tanks and I went to feed today and noticed a ton of fry.
