Savasana is a manufacturer and distributor of handcrafted, beautiful yoga mat bags made from 100% recycled materials. It is a circle of giving.

Our goal is to reduce our footprint Mother Earth while providing our customers the last yoga mat bag they will ever want or need to buy! Our Mission is to help the ever growing community that is attempting to save the planet, by re-purposing items that would usually be discarded. Our part in this is creating beautiful, sustainable yoga mat bags out of old sheets. We receive our sheets from Old Mec

hanicsville Health Spa; a very generous day spa located in Hanover, VA. They donate used massage table linens that are no longer acceptable for use with clients. Our Crochet Goddess Diane then rips the sheets into 2 inch strips, and ties them together, then crochets them into mat bags. Then our founder Brandi Bovell may dye the ones that she thinks will look better brightened up, and doesn’t dye the ones that look amazing as is. The entire process takes about 8 hours of pure love and dedication from start to finish to complete 1 bag. The end result is: Machine washable, beautiful, durable, lifetime yoga mat bag awesomeness. Each bag is created out of 2 to 3 twin sized flat sheets. Since it takes anywhere from 3 to 40 years for 1 sheet to decompose in a landfill, each bag helps reduce waste for up to 120 years! We then complete this circle of giving, by donating 20% of all proceeds to a different charity every quarter. We are currently donating to The Polaris Project.

So much negativity on my social media feeds today. On the news. In the newspaper. At the grocery store, you can literally see people walking around with chips on their shoulders. Friends arguing with each other over. The world has been losing sleep, which makes the body even more cranky.

With this I'm about to post so much damn positivity, that you will not be able to escape the HAPPY, even if you want to be funky! You will find yourself smiling! All the unicorns farting rainbows are coming your way!

I am so proud of myself right now. This past year, so many positive vibes in my life and in my business. My husband and I are pregnant with our 3rd child. We purchased a 2nd investment property and doubled our net worth during a pandemic. I went to Real Estate school and passed with flying colors. I finished renovations to my historic, commercial building, and the spa is on fleek, if you have not come in to see it, you are missing out my friend. You do not have to spend money on services or products, just stop by sometime for a hot cup of tea, and intelligent conversation. I love visitors. However what I am most proud of is our continued commitment to Eco friendly practices. Our new solar panels get installed at the spa next Thursday, and while we are reducing our carbon footprint on the earth, we also get to save money by no longer having an electric bill! We continue to turn all of our old sheets into yoga mat bags, keeping linens out of landfills, although we have not been selling many yoga mat bags, so if you know someone who needs a little protection for their yoga mat bag, please holla at your girl. :) We continue to not use bottled water and avoid plastics at the spa as much as possible, with a quadruple water filtration system in place allowing us to serve our guests the purest water without harming our Mother Earth. We had a REME HALO installed within our HVAC system to kill airborne bacteria, viruses, and germs using UV light VS harsh airborne chemicals. Additionally I'm helping a really awesome client achieve her dreams right now, which is really gratifying. So much positivity. Hoping some of my light was able to brighten your day! :)
