We've got a lot to do today, so we're bringing in the best of the best!

Mr. Floki-Pokey is on-site today to help get this place in tip-top shape for our official, public reopening this Wednesday.

Villagers are welcome to stop by, say hi, and snoop around the new space any time between 11 - 6 pm today. You can help unbox books, alphabetize sections, or revitalize our morale with words of encouragement.

You can also just say hi to Floki. He would love that 🥰

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today!

Things are far from finished, but coming together beautifully. It's incredibly gratifying to see the space we've worked so hard on steadily filling up with books. Plus - look at how amazing our consignment displays are coming! We love our vendors, we love our villagers, and we love this opportunity to grow ourselves and our offerings.

Thank you all for being part of this. Will we see you tomorrow for another 'unofficial crew' day? Tristan and I would love to say hello 😊

We’re here our doors are open but we are still under construction.

🚨Lights Out Alert! Tomorrow night approximately 4.1 million birds will migrate through Oregon's skies. Help keep them safe by turning off your outside lights and drawing your blinds between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Why is it important to go lights out during fall migration (now - October 19)? As migrating birds pass over brightly lit cities, skyglow drowns out the stars, confusing them and luring them into urban areas. Once trapped in the windowed maze of the city, birds either hit buildings directly or circle them until they collapse from exhaustion. Lights Out programs help to prevent birds from being attracted to urban areas.

P.S. For our neighbors to the north, Washington state has a red alert TONIGHT and tomorrow with 5.4 million and 4.6 million birds traveling through the state.

It’s time, Village!

We will be officially opening at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 23rd in our new location at 1103 N Riverside Avenue.

We have a project list longer than The Odyssey - we’re taking it as a marathon, not a sprint. Colors will be added, lighting will be updated, and we’ll add more & more signage as sections become increasingly defined. Join us as we write the next chapters in our Village of Books!

Wednesday - Sunday, 11 AM - 6 PM
Closed Monday/Tuesday.

****We are asking villagers to refrain from bringing media in until October. This gives us a few more days to empty our boxes and get our sorting stations up!****

Come by the prior Saturday/Sunday for our soft opening! We’ll be training staff, sorting, and unboxing as many books as we can between 11 AM and 6 PM. Sales as usual, just expect a smudge more *chaos vibes* and a smudge less **knowing what we’re doing**
