As someone who specializes in heavy duty and oddball sewing repairs, I feel like the main job skill is to be half crazy, and having a sense of humor certainly doesn’t hurt. Today a customer brought in a tent with a rip in the floor and I did a repair while she waited. I did not have my industrial machine handy so I worked with what I had. Please don’t try this at home. Consult a professional.

Kim headed to Burns Saddlery / Makers Leather Supply & School in Pendleton, OR this weekend to learn to make this amazing leather backpack with Aaron Heizer! It was an amazing two day class with lots of new skills learned and Kim got to talk with members of the saddle fitting and saddle making team in the saddle shop! Everyone was so nice. It was a great way to kick off the summer and work towards growing Tack It Up’s leather services and knowledge of custom saddles made by Burns.

This beautiful Hamley came in to get cleaned to get ready to sell! Dry dusty leather looks so much better when it’s clean and hydrated and not only increases the chances of a saddle sooner but also the overall condition of the saddle. They just sell better when they look like new. 🤩
