Hi Village Books family! This is the very-soon-to-be new owner, Tristan, hijacking the original Village Books Facebook to invite you to follow our new Village Books page! It is a little barren right now, but we will be using it a great deal in the future to share events, sales, and where we are going to end up moving the store!

We look forward to many years of bookstore adventures with all of you!
See you soon!

Karen & I wish to give a big THANK YOU to all our customers who have kept us in business for the last 18+ years. Loren Otto opened Village Books in Jan 1994 at the Harry & David Country Village. His employee Kathleen Kaczor then bought the store from him in the late 90's continuing the store at H&D. Karen & Gary bought the store from Kathleen in 2004 and after 6 years at H&D moved it to the Winco Plaza giving us a larger store that could carry more books plus Comics & Vinyl records...and a fluffy orange cat named Winston who monitored all comings and goings. So here we are in 2023 and it's time to RETIRE! The store has been bought by a young Medford couple who will keep the legacy of Village Books intact. Tristan & Sierra will take over on June 5. There will be some changes in the near future. The store is having to relocate as we lost our lease to an incoming Chuck E Cheese. For now, store location and hours will remain the same. And Tristan & Sierra will create their own Village Books page. We will post updates regarding the move and the new FB page name, on this page. Check frequently for updates. Again, thank you so much for supporting our store and helping us make our dream come alive. Gary & Karen (and the late Winston)

Great News for Medford!
Village Books will be continuing on into the future. Gary & Karren will be handing the keys to the store over to Tristan & Sierra, the new owners, starting on June 1st. They are a much younger couple than Karen & Gary and have great ideas for the store. It still looks as if the store will have to move from its current location so keep checking our page for the up-coming changes.
So Keep on Reading!

It's time for us to retire. The store will be open until end of the year if not sold by then.
