My husband is the carpenter; I am the painter. We thank you Bryan H. for door installations over the years. Never a corporation; never a wholesale company; although, I had big dreams in 2010-2011. We made to 60 years old this November of 2024 WOW! My husband Brad Murphy is a veteran of USAF, and retired from Army National Guard in 2004. He continues to work until he finally is able to retire from life's labors. I've survived these years with 45 years of working as a food industry laborer, communications consultant, and painter, as well as a Supply Specialist in the US Army in the late 1980's. Batteries are on my mind...

Lithium batteries cost more than alkaline batteries because
they use rarer materials, require advanced manufacturing steps, and deliver much higher performance.

Materials and Production
Costly metals: Lithium is a reactive and lightweight metal that needs careful processing, whereas alkaline batteries use cheap, common materials like zinc and manganese dioxide.

Complex build: Making a lithium cell requires stricter safety features and special internal designs to manage high energy levels safely.

Performance and Value More power: Lithium cells hold a much higher energy density, meaning they pack more electricity into a smaller space.

Longer life: They can last up to 4 to 8 times longer than alkaline batteries in heavy-use devices and hold a steady voltage until they are almost empty.

Better storage: Lithium batteries can sit on a shelf for up to 20 years and still work, while alkaline batteries degrade much faster.

Hope this helps! I was around when Lithium batteries did not exist... they were a huge deal! So, things I see you take for granted, remember some of us didn't have them until much later in life.
